Great Food, Great Service

Had a fabulous Chicken Goat Cheese Burito - best I've ever had. Friend had a Grilled Tuna Salad, also excellent. Service was cheerful and quick even though restaurant was full. Would definitely recommend.

These negative reviews are understandable, but unfair

I go to Utopia all the time and I always hear the same complaints about it: slow service, small mistakes, long wait. I'm not saying it's not true, but really, take a look at the restaurant. The kitchen is completely visible and it's TINY. Add that to a wait staff that's trying to navigate a restaurant and patio that's always packed and you might end up waiting a little. Also, the food is very inexpensive. For under ten dollars you can get a pretty big meal that's dependably tasty with a lot of veggie options. For that kind of value, I'm more than happy to take the good with the bad.

Very bad service

The waitress did not listen to any of our special requests and I got huge onions in my burritto when I asked for no onions. My friend got her order wrong too. The waitress acted like she really did not care and blamed it on the kitchen. It was not even that busy when we were there, there were only 2 other tables. It took a really long time for the food to arrive.

good food, badly mixed drinks, fair prices, BAD service

We went in on a busy Sat night and it took a while to get a table but that's to be expected on a busy night. The wait staff seemed cool, all of course for our waitress who couldn't be bother to help us. While we waited for our table at the bar all we could hear come out of her was how tired she was, how she didn't want to be there, and then we watched her try to nap with her head on the bar as there was a line-up that went out the door. The food was good, the app we got (can't remember the name but had chickpeas and pomegranate in it) was unbelievably good. The drinks weren't fix right, the first round came and it was straight booze in the glasses, no mix at all, someone wasn't paying attention.... Entrees were good, the sauces they make there are great and once we finally ordered the food came in good time. I would consider going back, but if I saw the waitress we had that night was working, I'd turn around and leave.

food was a bit slow. veggie nachos awesome, the rest was o.k. the bread the chicken sandwich was on was waaaay too thick and i ended up picking the chicken out because otherwise the only taste was bread! it seems like they changed ownership which is weird cuz they haven't but when there's a vibe like that, it's not good.

The best veggie burgers in Toronto

The best veggie burgers in Toronto

Don’t be fooled — the juicy 5-oz. grilled patty at this casual College Street haunt might taste like beef but it actually gets its meaty taste from a blend of textured soy protein, Dijon mustard, onion and parsley. The filling veggie burger is topped with all the usual fixins plus a zesty green onion mayo.
