Probably the best pub food in Guelph. Have eaten their so many times, never been dissapointed. Their menu is huge, and filled with all the pub food you can think of. Service is usually OK. It is a sit yourself bar, you just walk in and sit down and a server will come to you. They have huge booths to the back corner which are great because we always go in a huge group, usually for foreign people, and I find the servers are very understanding and patient compared to other places over the inevitable miscommunications that occur. I have found this place gets a little busy from time to time, so service does slow down, but is still not as bad as other places in guelph. the atmostphere is not bad, but it does get very very very noisy! Their promo on Buy one Get one Free Fajhitas is to die for! Enough food for 6 people easily, and it tastes amazing.

I love bobby o's! I've been there plenty of times... i've tried almost everything on their menu and im impressed with everything. The prices are great and the staff are very friendly!

a friend and i went at night for a couple drinks and some food..stood awkwardly at the door for 10 minutes while servers past us several times without acknowlaging us..sat ourselves and watched as the servers argues who's table it was..left after wasting 25 minutes of our lives we can never get back

This was my first time at Bobby's, but my husband had been the night before and couldn't shut up about the wrap he'd had. When we first arrived, we found a booth near the bar, and sat ourselves. Our waitress, Danielle, was on us in an instant to get a drink order. i knew right away it was going to be a good experience. My husband ordered the Buffalo Wrap with BBQ sauce and fries, and I ordered the Club Wrap and fries with gravy. We started off with the Antijitos. They were great, other than a couple of them looked a little crispy. Still very tasty. My husband really enjoyed his wrap. Mine was a little bland, and could use some kind of sauce, but the chicken was plump and juicy!! The fries and graVy at Bobby's are divine!!! What topped it off for me, was my take out container (cause there was no way i was gonna be able to finish that wrap!!). The container was made of recycled paper and seemed like it was going to be biodegradable. I was very impressed!! I even asked Danielle if she could find out where they got their orders from, so I could make a recommendation to my boss. She got the information for me. Overall, i was very happy with this place. I will definitely be visiting again!!!

Always a great time at Bobbys

Bobby's seems to get some bad reviews on this site, but for my wife and I we always seem to have a pleasant experience at O'Briens. We came in to a rather quiet restaurant but the friendly waitress seated us immediately and wasted no time in quenching our thirst. This restaurant is a great place for some one-on-one time or a great get together with a larger group. My wife ordered the buffalo wrap as she does every time and I opted for the wings. Our server was a bubbly girl with pink hair and she was both professional and speedy. Our drinks were never left empty and she was knowledgeable about the menu and the downtown area. Our food was equally great as all the other times, however I wish Bobby's would cook their wings a bit longer, they sometimes come out a little soft rather than crispy..All in all we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and will be returning when we visit Guelph again!

Great little place. they do a great job with both food and service. this particular time was no different. the fries were fresh and the burger was 2nd to none. It's ver consistant which is why i keep coming back

Bobby O'Brien's is another faux Irish Pub that works well. I did not enjoy my food; BUT, I blame myself for trying to order 'fine dining' items, rather than pub grub. I've eaten their chicken wings before which totally make up for the fajita. Huge televisions can be seen from wherever you sit. The beer menu is huge and full of quality premium and imported beers. The service was great. It looked like the employees were having fun which always makes a restaurant experience pleasant. check it out

I didn't think this place was that bad...the atmosphere is nice..lots of dark wood. Big TV screens everywhere..our waiter was very attentive but not intrusive..the drinks were good and the wings were fairly good too. They had good fried too. Nothing special but not to be avoided either....

After reading the reviews, they do not do this place justice. The waitresses do ignore you to some degree, although that should be expected as this is an Irish Pub. True to the name of the Irish Pub, one is expected to go up to the bar and get their own drinks. Waitresses will serve you, but it is not to be expected for drinks. The food is excellent, and has a variety of Irish specialties, the Sheppard's pie is quite good, and I recommend it. Irish brews are always good, and can find each one there, including the hard to find Kilkenny. I had ordered a pint of Kilkenny, and was told they were out, but got a free half pint of Guinness to compensate, which was quite courteous.

The steak and salad are one of the best deals in town. The steak was tender and flavourful. The wings are on the small side, but at $.29 a wing, are still a deal. Lots of beer on tap and a great atmosphere. One of our favourite pubs in Guelph

The veggie wrap was very good. My salad on the other hand was warm, so it was obviously sitting under the food warmer for too long. Service was good. I did visit once more after that and i ordered Nachos, i guess their idea of nachos was nacho crumbs with cheese and mixed veggies served cold. I would only recommend Bobby O's for Beer, they do have an insane amount of beer to offer on tap =)

Being from out of town and living in the hotel...

Being from out of town and living in the hotel across the street I have been here a couple of times and not once had a bad experience. If you read the reviews below you will see complaints of bad service. You are going to a bar for food and drinks, not to be waited on hand and foot. Go in expecting a great atmosphere and you wont be disappointed.

I really like this resturant, i often go down there friday or saturday nights as well cause its a great bar scene. But when i go for lunch the food is good but once again the service is pretty bad, we always wait a long time even for drinks when theres nobody in there and the wait staff are usually talking to each other. And once we never got the onion rings but they charged us for them, i didnt have to pay eventually. But ill always go back because i love the atmosphere.

I really do enjoy that place! The Buffalo Wrap was AMAZING. It was like combining Wings in a Wrap. The service was ok and wasn't amazing, but overall a good experience.
