I have been going to this eatery for 5 yrs now. It was really good at first when it was called The Bamboo then it was sold and it was just not the same. Now, it was sold again when it became Five Star Chinese Buffet. Now, it is better, pretty much like it was a few yrs ago plus they have the extra food items at the back on week nights that they only use to have on the weekends. It's a good place to eat. If you ate there in the past and liked it I think you will like it again.

I have visited this sushi restaurant many times since it has opened and I bring new people with me to share the experience. The food is fantastic, fresh and tasty. My favorites is the seaweed salad and the mango rolls although there are many dishes I like. The prices are very good for all you can eat or order meals off the menu. It is not a buffet but you order dishes until you are full. But remember that if you can't eat it you can take it home for the price of the dish. Which is fair. Try the sushi pizza with salmon or other toppings. Lovely decor and lots of parking. The service is great!

I go to Joya all the time and it is by far my favourite sushi restaurant. I have been to many sushi places in the Niagara region and some in Toronto as well, but Joya blows them out of the water. Try the Spicy Tuna Roll, it is delicious.

Asian Wok is a wonderful and modern resturant with awesome food! I have been many times now and everytime I go I get great service and my order comes very quickly. After reading a few reviews on this place I can see possibly where the feeling of "pretentious" comes from. However, our experience was quite enjoyable. Our server was attentive, and polite, although seemed like she was trying to rush us a bit. The food was excellent as far as I was concerned. The sushi was fresh, and the coconut shrimp is excellent. I admit I noticed the prices on the menu were steep for certain items like the steak mentioned in the previous review (almost $30 for 12oz), but generally for this type of formal more upscale restaurant the prices are satisfactory and in check. I would definetely go back to Koi, especially in the summer where the patio looks very nice. Even just for some drinks and some apps (the tempura was also very good). No doubt, there may be better sushi houses around but overall to please a varied palette, Koi is quite delicious.

I used to live in the neighborhood of this restaurant and would frequent it often. It is certainly not the least expensive Japanese restaurant in the city but I'd be hard pressed to find a better one.
The sushi is always fresh and well made, Maki rolls are seasoned with chives and wasabi. Gyoza and Miso Soup are good, as expected, two things that can't really be done wrong. In the past I've had their lunch bento boxes which are a good value and are of the same quality as their dinner menu.
Only complaints I'd have about this restaurant: Parking is not provided so you're at the mercy of the local pay lots.
Also, when the restaurant gets really busy it gets very tight as it is a small place, and service gets really slow, But with that being said the owners are very kind and friendly.
Overall, a very good restaurant with excellent food.

I came to this restaurant for my father's birthday and the food was incredible. It is an authetic portuguese restaurant on James street in Hamilton. For an appetizer we had the Bruchetta, which is baked pizza style bread topped with tomato, onion and garlic. Yumm! For the dish I ate the Filete com arroz, which is fish filete with seafood rice. The dish cost $17 but was really cheap considering the amount of food that was provided. I will definetely return to this restaurant and recommend anyone to try this place. They have a large menu with many options. If you havent tried portuguese food or just love the food, you wont be disappointed at the Wild Orchid.

I've been to Ichiban several times for their all-you-can-eat menu. The quality of the ingredients is quite high and the presentation is lovely.
I will admit that the service is a little slow at times as the lone waitress on Sundays struggles to keep up with all the tables. This restaurant (like many sushi places) should really consider hiring more wait staff. That being said, the woman I've had has always been quite friendly.
If you plan on attending, I'd recommend going at an off time for the obvious reasons mentioned above.
Sidenote--the BBQ eel sushi and spicy salmon roll are delicious.
