Switch up your traditional Thanksgiving plans this year and enjoy picturesque views of the water from this iconic spot in Stanley Park. The Teahouse will be offering a three-course, $39 prix-fixe menu over the holiday weekend, along with a reduced version of its a-la-carte menu. For dessert, opt for pumpkin brûlée or raspberry sorbet.
Feeling panicked about volunteering to host Thanksgiving this year? Don’t sweat it. It’s easy to fool your friends and family with a ready-made meal from the award-winning chefs at Railtown Catering. Order a Thanksgiving-to-Go package (which serves eight to 10 adults) and feast on a 16-lb sage-roasted turkey and an array of festive trimmings, including dried apricot and chestnut stuffing, mashed Yukon gold potatoes, maple-glazed sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts and classic pumpkin pie for dessert. Best of all, partial proceeds from the take-home package are used to provide meals for Mission Possible, a non-profit on the Downtown Eastside.
This Wedgewood Hotel's upscale restaurant is once again offering its Thanksgiving dinner on October 8, 9 and 10. Start with maple roasted parsnip soup or opt for a green salad with roasted beets and goat cheese. The main event – roast turkey with cranberry and red apple cabbage – is accompanied by whipped potatoes, sprouts and gravy. Spiced pumpkin pie and candied pecan granola with chantilly cream concludes this indulgent spread.
Want to keep things casual and budget friendly? Best of all, there’s plenty of alternative options on the extensive menu for those who’d prefer to skip the turkey and chow down on teriyaki chicken or a bacon cheddar burger.
