It hadn't crossed Jean-François Gladu's mind that his student job would chart his path. And yet, with friends he considers family, he now manages Bar Furco, one of the most popular places in town.

Jean-François is a tireless worker. Moreover, he tells anyone wanting to launch their own bar "not to be afraid of hard work" and above all, to "listen to the advice of others, putting pride aside." It's no accident that Furco is a real success; rather, it's the result of hard work as a team ... and as a family! Furco is the outcome of a family bond at the core of an extraordinary team.

    Very slow service abd rude staff. Food was not fresh and lacked taste. Overall a very bad experience.

    We love Furco any time of year but in the summer it has a lovely little terrace tucked onto Mayor Street, right outside the bustle of the Quartier des spectacles in downtown Montreal. This cocktail bar is perfect: they don’t sell bottles so no need to deal with that obnoxious crowd, and it’s easy to get a seat. They have a few gourmet bar bites, but their cocktails are what they’re known for. Definitely a spot that we keep returning to.
