The Rooster Coffee House is serious about its beans, but about the community as well. Their space is a communal meeting area for many in the Riverdale/Riverside area. A large space is crowded with quirky pieces and furnishings. A small patio outfront offers a great view of Riverdale Park.
If you’ve been on Instagram lately, you must’ve seen this coffee shop’s “Hello Goodbye” #selfeet tiles. This Rooster Coffee House is located at the south-west side corner of Jarvis and Charles. The interior has an industrial vibe with its exposed high-ceiling piping. Head upstairs for the seating area and watch the baristas at work below. There are also window seats downstairs. The beans are local, from TO’s Pilot Coffee Roasters. The lattes are super creamy, including non-espresso based options like matcha and turmeric. This is the only of three locations that serves organic gourmet salads and sandwiches.
Rooster Coffee House is a great coffee shop to get your morning cup of joe and a cozy hangout. Order the Golden Milk – made with organic turmeric and ginger, a dash of honey, a pinch of Himalayan salt and cracked pepper – to keep the Monday blues at bay.
This little coffee shop nestled in the Riverdale neighbourhood might be a regular caffeine stop for most, but if you stop for just a moment, you'll feel like you’re in Muskoka.
The rustic décor and board games in the back lends a cottage-y feel to the place, but it’s outside that you’ll feel like you’re at the lake. Take in the view of Riverdale Park and our tremendous skyline while you sip your Americano, but don’t be surprised if you hear the sounds of lapping waves nearby.
