The food is a bit over priced for the amounts and quality you are getting but hey this is Bay st right? Atmosphere is supreb. On date or even for a business dinner/lunch you wil surley impress if that person has not been here before. Good service and very extensive bar.

Lots of Fun

Going to Ki is like a night out in itself. The food is great, the staff is professional and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is energetic yet comfortable. The rock shrimp is my favorite item on the menu, although I've had most everything else. The food presentation is good, and the items are all perfect for sharing, even the steaks. The bartenders make a perfect dirty vodka martini, although it does take a while sometimes...they're very busy, so don't order at the last minute. That just adds to the experience though, if they weren't busy, it wouldn't be nearly as fun!

With such high praise I thought Ki was the perfect get away for a romantic dinner for two. I wish that was the case. We arrived at 7:30 The sun was setting outside inside it was pitch midnight, it was so dark it was hard to see my wife. The small table lights barely through off enough light to find our utensils. We joked that it was so dark to hide what our food really looked like. We ordered Seasonal Veggie Tempura, Dynamite makimonos, kit bee maki, saikyo-marinated & broiled Black Cod with rapini, grilled Canadian AAA Tenderloin served with garlic ponzu sauce. The maki was okay, but the tempura shrimp in the Dynamite was cold and soggy. The Veggies were okay although I think a few pieces were overdone but I can't say for sure because it was so dark. The main's were a big disappointment. The cod was almost inedible, the fish being fatty and tasteless, not what you would expect from black cod. The tenderloin was tough which is odd since it's usually a tender cut and all I could taste was the garlic from the Ponzu sauce. I won't be going back. I should note however that the servers were very attentive and polite.

Drink sweet cosmopolitans from these Toronto cocktail bars

The suit-and-tie crowd imbibes in happy hour drinks and Asian fusion food at this downtown sushi lounge. Fittingly, the bar’s signature Kyushu Cosmo puts an Asian twist on the classic martini — the sweet drink is made with Tanaka Moonlight shochu (a Japanese distilled beverage) mixed with Moonstone plum sake, tart cranberry and fresh lime with cherry dust.
