one of the employees called me disgusting and yelled in my face, attempting to kick me out of the establishment finding out that this person's name was Daniel and he was apparently "the owner of this establishment", Daniel's behavior that night was unacceptable. Daniel's behavior was undeniably unacceptable. As someone who claims to be the owner, he clearly needs to reevaluate his communication skills and take immediate steps to improve the way he interacts with his customer
Friendly, good ambiance...real, professional service.
The service was poor, the food was cold. The waitress who took our orders was rude. There was a major problem with the kitchen as our food came out after 90 minutes. The liver was overcooked. The person in charge did not understand he had a problem with the service and the kitchen
Excellent food Excellent service There is only one other restaurant that I have gone to in toronto that compares to the quality of food and service received at grappa.
I grew up in the area... moved away and now return to frequent the wonderful restaurants and lounges. Grappa is among the best!! Food service and overall ambiance are perfect for a night out with good friends.Fantastic beef carpaccio and a good wine list. Excellent service and the servings are generous. I will be returning....
One of the best Italian restaurants we have ever been to in the 35+ yrs of eating out in Toronto. A definate must for "foodies"...had the veal medallions on mash...partner had fish...both 10+. Tiramisu to die for...lovely atmosphere and excellent service...only negative was the slightly overbearing opera, could have been toned down a tad. Other than that will be visiting again with friends this coming week.
Grappa is one of Toronto's best restaurants! Extremely cosy, the friendliest wait staff in the city, and generous portions of delicious food. A perfect place for casual dining or a date. I've been going for 8 years and have never had a bad experience. A place to go by yourself or a wonderful place to take friends or out of town guests. Superb on all counts. And don't forget to try the Italian eau-de-vie (grappa) for which the restaurant is named. The restaurant has the best selection of grappas in Ontario.
Long-time favourite on College Street. Fiercely loyal to its regulars who are likewise fiercely loyal to it. Lots of italian standards. Fantastic beef carpaccio. Good wine list. Excellent service. Very family friendly. Servings are generous.
