Richard Jaffray has always dreamed big. His desire to become a successful entrepreneur, coupled with his passion for the restaurant industry, motivated him to open his first restaurant more than 30 years ago. But it didn’t take long before he set his sights on a bigger concept. At 23, he opened Cactus Club Café in North Vancouver, BC. and although he has since opened more throughout central and western Canada, it wasn’t until October 2015 when he finally came to Toronto and opened a majestic 500-seat restaurant in the heart of the financial district, officially making Cactus Club Café a national hot spot.
Cactus Club is the spot dinner before the short walk to the ACC. Rob Feenie’s farm-to- table menu is iconic and Cactus Club has a stellar happy hour menu.
Between the fully retractable, all-season roof (which even melts snow!), an art collection that includes original works and prints by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat to name just a few and intriguing light installations (by Poul Henningsen of Denmark and Omber Arbel out of Vancouver), the space is a must for architecture and art lovers
