Great food good prices

I love the cilantro cream sauce here! there were some changes a few years back which made thsi restaurant a bit shaky for awhile but it has bounced back! Often busy on the weekends. Can'tbeat the prices and taste!

Wonderful! We showed up without a reservation on a busy Friday night, and sat at the bar because there were no tables available. Very friendly service and amazing food. Even though it was packed, our food came very fast. The desserts were very good as well. We will definitely go back!

This place is small, but has the best nachos we have had in Ottawa!! The staff was friendly and the place was hopping on a Sunday afternoon. The nachos were well dressed (not a stack of chips with cheese on top) and came with 3 sides (s.cream, and 2 others). It was a perfect size for an afternoon snack b/w two people... We were very happy with this place...

Loved it!

A group of my friends came in for my fiancée’s birthday and we had an exceptional evening. The staff was both entertaining and curious. The new owner Les seemed more than happy that we had chosen Agave this evening. The food was amazing; other reviews which I have seen on this site have not done the Agave grill justice. My fiancée said his lamb was fantastic and I can only rave about the stuffed chicken. The sauce was phenomenal and the chicken was cooked just right. I recommend it!

We just came back tonight from having an awful dinner at Agave Grill (May 2008). We used to love this place for it's fresh menu and great service. There has obviously been some changes, and when we asked if the menu had changed, the server said "there have been a lot of changes" and walked away. The restaurant is noisy, we could not hear each other at all. The bathrooms are dingy and smelly, and the overall appearance of the restaurant seems to radiate uncleanliness and lack of pride in service. Now the food, the Mexican Flag - I probably could have made better at home using an Old El Paso Taco kit. Tequila Chicken was in a gluey sauce and luke warm. The plates did not look appetizing at all. I didn't finish my meal, and the server did not seem concerned. Not surprisingly, we will not be returning to this place we once felt was a gem in the west wellington village area.

The Mexican and Southwestern cuisine at Agave Grill is some of the best in the city. With their burritos, you have a choice of chicken, beef, shrimp or grilled vegetables with cheese, black beans and roasted peppers in a flour tortilla stuffed with chipotle sauce. They’re served with rice and greens to round out your meal.

Nachos for nighttime noshing in Ottawa

Nachos for nighttime noshing in Ottawa

Agave Grill serves Mexican and Southwestern cuisine. Their nachos are crisp corn tortilla chips topped with melted cheese, Pico de Gallo and jalapeños. This tasty treat comes in several versions, including with chorizo, Cajun chicken or ground beef. If you have an especially large appetite, there is also the mixed starter platter, with chicken nachos, cheese sticks and beef quesadillas, plus chipotle mayo.
