Some people choose their professions based on market trends, others on the people they work with. But for Kyle Smallegange, founder of Alpha Pro Painting, what led him to professional painting was his entrepreneurial spirit. “I’ve worked for a lot of different people in a lot of different roles,” Kyle says. “But what I like most about my job now is that I’m my own boss.”
Officially opened in 2013, Kyle had already been a painter on-and-off for years. Originally, he started as a way to help his family and friends, but soon more people were seeking out his services. “Painting used to be a weekend thing for me,”Kyle recalls. “It’s something I’m good at, so I kept getting more and more jobs until I had to take it on full-time. Since then, we’ve only gotten bigger.”
Now, his painting expertise ranges from residential properties to commercial buildings and new housing developments in the Toronto and Durham Region.

We would absolutely recommend Alpha Pro Painting! Kyle and his team (Alpha Mom, Dan and Mark) were professional, extremely skilled, helpful, courteous and friendly! They painted our entrance and it's closet, hallways (upstairs and downstairs) kitchen, family room, powder room, and living room. They also painted the trim in all of these places, our fireplace mantle and a few doors! All of that in less than 2 days.

I had the pleasure of working with Kyle this past week. Kyle painted my family room, ceilings, walls, crown moulding, baseboards, and stripped a bathroom of wallpaper and repainted that too. 1 day, in and out. Kyle just finished his third job with us. He previously painted our kitchen and family room. Came back a year later to paint a couple of bedrooms when we were selling our home in March. And now, he has christened our new home with an outstanding paint job. I can't say enough about the excellent work Kyle did painting our home. His prices are excellent for the A++ quality of work he does. I called Kyle based on a good friends reference. He came when he said he would to quote the job. Completed the job in the time he quoted and cleaned up after the job. We had him paint master bedroom ceiling walls trim, master bath trim and halls from the 2nd story to the basement. Don't call anyone else no need he is the best.
My husband and I were looking to freshen up our home but didn't have the budget for a reno. Kyle painted our main level, upstairs and downstairs hallways and kitchen cabinets and also installed new baseboards. He did an absolutely fabulous job. He was a great communicator, worked very quickly and cleanly and made sure that we were completely happy with the job he'd done. I feel like I'm in a new house. We are very happy with the experience and definitely would recommend him.
Kyle and his team just completed some painting in my house. He was the third out of four quotes we got and he made us feel comfortable right from the beginning. I thought that all these reviews were written by Kyle but called just the same. I was blown away that his price was 70% less than my other quote. The job was done on time and looked fantastic. I got him to install some moulding and he did a great job. He is very neat and leaves the work site clean. Great work for a fair price.
Save your time and just call these guys. I called a bunch of painters to get a quote and these guys had the best price in the Durham region.
They are the most easy going, professional guys in the business. They did an unbelievable job and I will definitely be calling them again.

Kyle was on time for the meeting and only took a short amount of time to observe the area to be painted. Secondly, the quote was well priced so I hired him.
