went for dinner. Good price for the food. Good price for the wine. excellent food. a bit noisy but the place was full. Will go here again for sure.
I've been a couple of times and the last occasion provided a really great experience. There was a line up on the street, yet the hostess must have had things completely organized because it didn't take that long for my table of two. We were seated on the patio at first, but it began to rain... instead of packing the restaurant full of new tables the people on the patio (me included) got first dips on tables inside! Now that's class: make sure everyone who is already seated gets a good experience. The pizza was great, with a crispy crust and adequate toppings. No greasy, fatty, processed messes here. It's just fantastic, what else can I say.
Pizza was not THAT amazing. Staff are hot or cold- some are great, others should not be working in that industry! Probably wouldn't return... don't think I've ever sat on their patio without being rudely interrupted by drunks on the street
This is probably one of my most favourite REAL italian restaurants. I've never tried the pizza here but the gnocchi and the chicken parm is fantastic !! My boyfriend and I tried this restaurant while staying in the falls.. we loved it sooo much we drove back JUST TO EAT THERE all the way from Richmond Hill, Ontario. (Almost a 3 hour drive) ITS WORTH IT !!
I had read the reviews before coming to this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised with the good reviews, so decided to give it a shot. When we walked in, we had the most monotone hostess ever, I couldn't even hear what she said. Then our waitress came over, oh boy, she was way too peppy, and it made me sick to my stomach. We ordered our personal sized pizzas, and they don't even give you a side order of complimentary bread, I was discouraged when I noticed that. The pizza was baked in a wood oven, but nothing spectacular, you can go to a grocery store and they do the same thing for you. Our waitress came over to our table 3 TIMES and kept asking if everything was okay, and insisted that we order some more drinks or desserts, not very professional. When we wanted to pay at the front, there were about 5 waitresses and hostesses just standing around, not doing anything, we had to wait about 10 minutes for the cashier to come. Aren't any of the other staff trained on how to run the cash register?! I wouldn't come here again, only because the food is adequate, not superb, and the service isn't that great.
My review is not only based on when I eat there, But I also work there! just to answer some simple questions some people might be wondering: Is the fire real? Yes it is, Antica's has a wood shed that gets filled weekly and are burned in all real wood burning ovens! Do we deliver? No way too busy, But you can order by phone and pick-up, But not on busy holidays! Are the items on the menu really home made? all the sauces "both pizza and pasta" are home made as well as the gnocchi, veil, chicken and eggplant parms, pizza dough gets made and mixed every morning! The toppings are cut, sliced and diced every morning and during the day! The Restaurant is run and owned the old Italian way by old Italian family and like the owners say "its not how much food you can produce, Its how good you make it. I have lived here in Niagara Falls all my life and have gone to school for cooking. I have worked and ate in a lot of restaurants and from my 20 year experience Anticas is by far the cleanest and most efficient restaurant in Niagara falls! The service ill just leave up to you to review ;p
My daughter and I went to this restaurant after we read a review from this app. We had the meat lover pizza. It was delicious. The crust was crunchy and chewy, perfect and the toppings and sauce were fresh and yummy!
The best thing about Antica Pizzeria is a pair of wood fire ovens. And anyone would agree that wood fire can make anything taste amazing. This is the reason Piggy went to Antica a few days ago. That and the fact that it seems to be very difficult to find a place that serves decent food in Niagara Falls. The overall feel of the place is quite nice, considering that it was jam packed for dinner. The servers were very efficient and friendly. Now about the food, after all that’s why we're here: Caesar Salad is nice and creamy, but nothing special. The little piglets had pasta, which was cooked al dente, and the marinara sauce was decent, however slightly acidic\undercooked. The Neapolitan pizza with extra cheese was great . But it is a simple straight forward pizza, and not much can go wrong there. The Quattro Stagioni pizza was a disappointment however. While the dough and crust of the pizza had the full flavor that the fire oven provided and were a real treat, the same cannot be said for the toppings. The toppings were cheap and tasteless. The ham had little flavor and was diced rather than shaved, which gave it a cheap takeout pizza feel. The mushrooms (white button) were too chunky and thick sliced, so they were watery and undercooked, and flavorless. The artichokes were nothing special probably came out of a can, but I'm not too fussy about that. Finally instead of olives I had 3-4 anchovies on top of my cheese. Come on now! Piggy loves anchovies, so please share the love, and pair them up with some beautiful olives for Italy's sake! While you are at it , toss in a handful of capers. This is supposed to be a deluxe pizza after all, don't waste the wood fire with mediocre ingredients! So if you do go to Antica, please tell them what you think of the toppings on your pizza. Or if you don't want to be disappointed, go for the Margherita. I have to say that they do make a good cup of espresso and their tiramisu, although not made by them (It comes in from a place in GTA I was told), is better than most places around here.
Lovely staff, great atmosphere, amazing food and also very affordable. I'm slightly biased as I had my first date with my boyfriend of 4 years here....been going back for our anniversary ever since!
It was me and my boyfriend`s anniversary. We decided we wanted pasta for dinner. We came on restaurantica to find the best in the area; we ended up here. The atmosphere was nice. The wood stove added a warm touch, although I couldn`t figure out whether the fire was real or not. The food was very good. Our salad was crunchy and fresh, Both our pastas had a very light yet flavourful homestyle sauce. The bread was delicious. The prices were fair for what you receive. Portions a good size. We were not left hungry, yet not too full. Before coming, we looked at the reviews. We were hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst in terms of service. The service was exactly what we had read online - awful. I don`t believe the waitress ever told us her name. She did not serve us our food, someone else did. Our refills were rare, if at all. When it came time for our bill, we had to ask a different waitress to fetch ours from the back room where we could clearly see her socializing with her fellow coworkers. Still a good meal nonetheless.
Had one of their signature pizzas. It was very good, nice crust and flavourful. Can't say it was the 'best" but good. Sat on the patio and people watched - a great source of entertainment! Very reasonably priced and a good option near clifton hill.
Always amaZing food and people this is niagara falls number one Italian food place other then your mommas
One of my favourite restaurants. I've been going here ever summer for the last four years. It is an all around great experience. Looking forward to visiting again.
Best Pizza Ever! Antica is by far the best pizzeria in Niagara Falls, very authentic and reasonably priced for its location. The atmosphere is incredible, you walk in and the first thing you see is a wood oven pizza bar with beautiful murals of the Amalfi/Naples coast, friendly service and great food. This is coming from a local, if you are new to the city or have been here for years, if you want a well made authentic pizza stop by Antica.
My husband and I happened to stumble upon this place 6 years ago. We absolutly loved the place and the service. I am Italian and am very fussy when it comes to Italian food. We ordered the food and when it came we both agreed that if we did know any better it was my MOTHER in the kitchen cooking ( my mom is a WONDERFUL cook) we later found out the owners are from the same region of Italy as my mom was. The waitress we had was AWSOME. we go back there every time we are in Niagara falls....we have brought my 2 step daughters and they loved it, and we are now going there this weekend and bringing our 4 year old son and my Mother in law. The cool thing is....regardless of how many people pass thru that place, the waitress always remembers us, not by name maybe but always says....I DO REMEMBER ...The Irish man and the Italian woman! lol....hey that is something in itself!....all i can say is i can't wait to go back this weekend...i think its been 2 years since we have been there!
The food was good especially the pizza.Salad and garlic bread are overpriced for the portion size you receive. This restaurant has been around along time and has been very successful perhaps some 'real' specials every now and then to show appreciation to their loyal patrons.
Mama Mia, this is good pizza! We decided on Antica based on the reviews here on Restaurantica. So - thank you! Our party of 4 ordered 6 drinks, 2 appetizers, 3 pizzas and 1 gnocchi. The garlic bread was pretty average, the calamari not bad - served with a nice marinara for dipping. But the the entrees were to die for. Three of us ordered different pizzas and one ordered the home-made gnocchi. All were fantastic. The toppings, in all honesty, aren't unique and aren't the best I've had. But the thin, fire-baked crust and the sauce would have been good all on its own! This is the way pizza is SUPPOSED to taste - the bar has been set high. With everything listed above, including tip, our bill came out to roughly $30 per person. Service was prompt, casual and friendly (though I wouldn't really call it the best ever) and the atmosphere clean and quaint - but by all means, go for the food!
This has got to be the absolute most fantastic pizza I have ever had! My husband, two kids and I happened upon the restaurant while visiting Niagara Falls recently. The wood oven drew us immediately and we stopped in for lunch. Service was excellent and friendly, and the hostess didn't mind my curious 2 y.o. son following her around while we waited for our food. I love that we could watch our pizzas being made and cooked along side the fire. The crust, sauce and toppings were delicious and the prices were very reasonable. This will be the place we eat at every time we visit the Falls. My husband is still raving about it a week later!
The eggplant was delicious, the pizza was the best i've ever had, the service was prompt and courteous!! Have been there many times and at no time is the staff ever vulgar! I guess some people's idea of a joke is to write fake names on reviews and write untrue things, not funny!! Busy place, awesome food!
Great Food!! Talk to the Owners, there from the same town in Italy as my Family ! Finally " Real Italian food". This restaurant is Busy Busy !! Good Service! Oh ya Just because one or more workers are from different cultures doesn't mean anything!!This is Canada Multi culture country!! Some people need better education!!

Victoria Avenue hosts one of the Falls’ most beloved pizzerias and Italian eateries that’s perfect for the grown-up fam and toddlers alike. The sprawling space hosts three dining areas and can comfortably host large parties. Choose from authentic pasta dishes like gnocchi della casa (homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella) and veal parmigiana accompanied by spaghetti, or pizzas that run the full gamut – from margherita to the spicy Siciliana (accompanied by anchovies, black olives, hot peppers and Sicilian sausage).
