The Sports Unlimited Principles Pat and Aidan Maloney have a long successful history in the business of sporting equipment. In 1971 Pat's parents opened up a 3800 square foot franchise called 'Sportsworld' a local community based sports store. Pat's participation evolved from part time in 1971 to full time in 1975. In 1974 the Sportsworld franchise was disbanded in favour of forming and becoming part of a larger buying group where stores also operated in Peterborough, Burlington and Ancaster under the name 'Sports Unlimited'.
