Come taste a delightful creation at Callister's Country Kitchen. They are open nightly all week. You can get there by bicycle. The neighboring area is remarkable for its restaurants, parks and stores.
I recently purchased a chefs salad at Calesters and was not overly satisfied with it. It was 75% iceberg lettuce ? no greens, onions which I don’t like and hardly any tomatoes and no cukes. I would suggest they used romaine, more tomatoes and cukes, peppers instead of celery. The meat and egg was good. 2.5 / 5. Also overpriced. Will go back but get something else.
A hot hamburger was delicious .. soft drinks were refillable which was good. The clubhouse has got a lot to be desired. No tomato on some of the sandwiches. the slices the bacon was hardly there and the bread was too small. To make a proper Clubhouse you have to use sandwich bread. Not plain bread.. one good thing was real turkey excellent. Just the clubhouse was so small it did not fill you..
I had the pleasure of dropping in on Callister's the other day due to a friend's recommendation.
I was looking over the menu when I came across the Maple Curry Penn. I ignored everything else on the menu and I just had to try.
I was pleasantly surprised, it tasted great. I had a piece of coconut cream pie for desert. You could tell that it was made in house, it was great as well.
You can bet that I will be back.
