I am my grandfathers Power of Attorney after the passing of my grandmother, and the interaction with this CIBC branch has been slow and ineffectual to the point of absurdity. I didn't receive an original document from her estate, and so there are understandable difficulties, but it has been six and a half months since I first contacted them, and my grandfather still can't access his pension funds from his account. Managers can only refer to legal and wait. Branch phone line never answered.
This bank is officially the worst operated branch I've ever dealt with. I have accounts at royal and td, and nowhere do I get the terrible service this place provides. They can't even adhere to their posted hours of operation. What kind of bank operates like that? The branch is operated like an old age home for only old people to bank at. Want to do a business transaction and use the "business window"? GOOD LUCK. Posted hours are 9-4 just don't go between 11:30-1:30 or after 3:15 because they'll likely be closed during these hours. Want to talk to someone on the phone? Bahahaha. GOOD LUCK. Total disaster this branch....please take my advice and bank elsewhere.
One of the most disgraceful bank to deal with! The management is out of touch with everything, there is nobody to answer the calls, the answer machines messages are outdated by 4-5 days and nobody is returning the calls.
Choosing this CIBC branch is a big mistake...
