The food was magnificent, that's the only reason we will be coming back again for sure. The atmosphere is bad: it's very dark, loud and very, very, very tight. The service isn't the greatest either. Although the waitresses are very nice, but they're in their own world sometimes walking around dreaming or changing music when customers are waiting. We've waited just for our check for about 30 minutes. I don't understand why they don't allow carry-out - they would be making tons of cash with their diamond in the kitchen. Still, with all those negative things, we will be coming back for the food.
No better food in Toronto. Period. The only downfall is that due to its size, you're sometimes waiting for a table. But it's worth it.
So cheap. So good. Very friendly service. The place is tiny but it's worth the wait for a table. You'll leave full and happy. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat.
This place is the best. The Food is great, the people are great, and you leave with a yummy feeling.
The perfect Ethiopian food for beginners: I had a bad experience with Ethiopian food in the past, and was nervous about accidentally ordering another dish tasting entirely of mustard. At Nazareth, the decision-making was done for me. Ordering the vegetarian dish got me four or five little selections that tasted fabulous - some quite spicy, others mild. We ordered two of the vegetarian dish for three people and were full (with a little leftover). It was totally affordable and I'm tempted to go again a day later. Don't be surprised by the small space and shabby sign - this is a hidden treasure.

If your date eats vegetarian, they’re going to love this place (don’t worry, there’s still plenty choices for meat lovers – like the infamous beef tibs). This Bloorcourt spot might be cash only, but its mom-and-pop vibes and low-lit romantic interior make it an adorable destination for great Ethiopian food. Three people can eat off one plate for $11 – what more can you ask for?

Although it’s a top option for takeout on Bloor, with its red-hued lighting and covered-in-faux-vines ceiling, it’s also a prime spot to shed the windchill and warm up. You’ll see most patrons opting for the veggie or meat platter, and if you order it you’ll learn why: it makes for a mean supply of leftovers for the whole weekend.
