Good food
I have been at Mai Thai about six times, and the food never disappoints. I will continue to go back when I go to the Falls.

great
MAYBE get your MAI VAI & MAI THAI STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU MAKE YOU COMMENT? FOODCRITIC? lol anyways, mai thai is in Niagara Falls and still the worst thai. btw, It is "Mai Vi' said like "my vee"
My husband and I went there last friday and ordered pad thai, basil shrimp dish with chicken added to it. Can't complain about the service and the atmosphere was okay but the food. We do have our favorite place for pad thai but since this place is kind of new we thought we should give it a try but what a huge mistake we made. :( I think noodles were overcooked as they were way too mushy and got stuck together and even taste wasn't right. I don't even want to waste my time on basil shrimp. It just got me lose my appetite. I totally agree with the person below but can not agree with foodcritic. If what they're selling isn't Thai food then don't use a word "Thai" in the name or offer thai food on the menu. lol
Never Ever again!! Ordered the most basic Thai dish, how can you mess that up!!?? When eating in Niagara Falls remember restaurants have many tourist customers, so if a tourist has a bad experience "oh well they won't be back" . The owner doesn't have to worry about bad word of mouth. Well I am sure I will be telling many, many people to spend the 20 minutes and drive to St.Catharines to Spicy Thai! Never have I had an issue with the food quality at Spicy Thai, whether it's take out or eat in. Basically, Stay away from Mai Thai, save your money and your Thai food experience!
Okay I lied, I've never dined at Mai Thai but get take out at least once a week since they opened! I am a local business owner and rarely have time to cook a decent lunch, I commute from the GTA on a daily basis and order lunch 6 times a week. Mai Thai has definitely been one of my favourites. The Good: Mother Daughter combo a nice fit, Great food with mouth watering curries and decent pad Thai dishes. Service has been very good so far for take out orders! They even started giving me a discount when I pick up my order! The Bad: Not the greatest atmosphere with no fancy Thai art deco, looks kinda like a sports bar a bit. Decent and clean dining area. The Ugly: TV has black spots all over it! The Humanity! The Horror! Especially when a second hand shop on Main and Ferry has such great deals on flat screens! Definitely recommend Mai Thai for Great Food and Great Service!!!
I have been to this Thai restaurant more than a few times now. The food is quite tasty and the staff is willing to adjust the level of spiciness to suit your tastes, but that said, if you like very spicy food, they will not accommodate.. The soups are exceptional. Now, the dining room itself is not fancy (no intricate Thai sculpturing), and I recommend this restaurant to locals and tourists. It makes a nice switch from Chinese food now and then also. The menu is broad based so there is much to choose from and the staff will readily explain any items or offer suggestions.
