Great staff,friendly and very efficient never rush you,the food is fabulous
The food is OK at best and the service was quite terrible. We ordered the chicken fajitas which was very greasy and the chicken tasted processed. Our waitress never once came to ask how we were so we had to hunt her down to ask more more tortillas. Wouldn't go again.
I felt terrible as it was my idea to go here since I hadn't been in awhile. They were playing dance/club music at 5:45pm - way too loud. Some of the lyrics were just offensive! Two servers stayed down the end of the bar looking at us and trying to decide who wanted to walk all the way down to our table! We ordered drinks and when they arrived we quickly ordered dinner before the server could scoot away. After ordering there did not seem to be any staff around? The manager had apparently called a meeting in the kitchen?! During a busy dinner hour! Needless to say when my meal came is was cold and the mashed potatoes was nothing but discusting lumps with long strings of green onions running threw them - unedible. No one came back to check on us and when we chased down the server for the bill - she did not even mention that most of my meal was still on the plate!
It was pretty good. I went there with my family for the first time last month. The service was really good -really nice people and knowledgeable about their dishes and customers. Fresh dishes. I usually go for Chinese, and this was a nice cultural taste change!
My husband and I love coming here because of service, food, and attomospher. We love it.
I have been here a few times and have had a great experience everytime. Food was great and the service was excellent. I have never been to another Jack Astor's with such great service....
We were invited to go after a club meeting. The service was great. Our waitress April (who was just had a birthday) was very friendly. I'm not sure about everyone else but the Ultimate Nachos could have used a bit more cheese. It seemed like they sprinkled it on the top and once you got past the top layer...no more cheese. The platter was large enough. Just not enough cheese. Turtle Jack's in Mississauga was better. I can't speak for the others that had Poutine, Salad, Bruschetta because I didn't ask them how there food was. Jack Astor's...I can take it or leave it.
I could never say enough good things about this restaurant, freindly staff that are always willing to help, food that is served hot and fresh all the time. If anyone is looking for a great hot and fresh meal with amazing service, please check this restaurant out
We've been there quite a few times and it was always enjoyable. The best cold beer in town and Troy the bartender is terrific. We have 'roadhouse' food and its predictably good all the time. All-in-all a great place to spend a few hours and relax.
I have had more than one experience at not only this location where the staff was rude and ignored us for far too long. For the food you get and the prices as well, they should really step up the service to avoid bankruptcy.
hostess & waitress - RUDE & not helpful at all. They are very nice to men but they are very rude and snooty to the women.. i wasn't the only one who noticed that one. waitress - slow, rude and didn't listen very well to our order considering we got the wrong thing. manager? somewhat helpful to our situation. suggestions? stop hiring staff based on their looks, get some people in there who know what they are doing - trust me, they'll be a great asset to your team. Jack Astors is supposed to be a restaraunt that's fun and inviting, but this one was only inviting to men. My group and I didn't pay for quality at all. I have to re-evaluate visiting this location ever again - they snooty hostesses and waitresses have to go before many ppl go back. The Burlington location is the better way to go on the south service road.
This was our first time here, & probably our last. It was a saterday at 3pm,,not very busy, waitress was nice but SLOW. started off with 2 ceaser salads..we got lots of the "middle part" of the romaine ..way too hard, & only 4 small croutons each. Hubbys pizza was fine, mine came & after One bite my mouth was on fire! no where did it say this was spicy.we ended up trading meals. The chicken on the flatbread was Microscopic. I would not recomend this place..the prices were steep as well..& we ordered from the LUNCH menu!
The restaurant itself is very nice, My first time at this location, very comfortable booths and the atmosphere is very good. The young Waitress was not very good though, I dont know if She was new to the job but She did not know the bar menu or the food menu, it was like pulling teeth at times. The food that came out was very good, hot and timely, the fish was a little sketchy but wasnt off, just tasted "weird", all in all I will go back for sure.
I ordered the "Astor Blaster" thinking this signature beverage must be great and warranted the price. Very disappointing. Super sweet, and mostly ice. Should have let the ice melt before drinking it, I guess. The lobster dip was ok, Nice flatbread wedges. The Greek salad was ok, but not spectacular in any way. I should have ordered the burger - a safer bet at a place like this.
