Elder Help-Peel was established April 11, 1996 by a group of seniors who were interested in bringing diverse seniors to work collaboratively to benefit each other. The group met at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brampton. The facility was free of charge but not wheel chair accessible. Moreover, it posed a possible barrier to participation to seniors who were not of the Christian faith. Consequently, the group moved to the premises of the Canadian Red Cross Society (Brampton) and briefly met on a weekly basis at this facility. It was free of charge. more... See more text
