10 incredible uses for canned cheese dip and cheddar cheese
  1. For beef kebabs like you've never had them, toss cubed sirloin or top round beef with steak seasoning and chopped fresh parsley. Thread onto skewers with canned whole new potatoes. Mix together canned cheese dip and Worcestershire sauce in a microwavable bowl and microwave on high power until hot. Grill the kebabs and brush with the cheese sauce during the last five minutes of cooking. Yum!
  2. To make easy cheddar cheese soup, use canned cheese dip as the base. Sauté onions, carrots and celery, then add canned cheddar cheese dip, shredded sharp cheddar cheese and chicken broth. A touch of Worcestershire sauce and dry mustard will round out the cheese flavour nicely.
  3. For a quick cheese sauce for sautéed chicken, combine one 260 gram (nine ounce) can cheddar cheese dip and one 275 millilitre (10 ounce) can chicken gravy. Simmer in the pan along with the chicken.
  4. To simplify the ingredients for corn pudding, start with canned cheese dip. Combine one 260 gram (nine ounce) can cheddar chese dip, 625 millilitres (2 1/2 cups) corn kernels, 125 millilitres (1/2 cup) shredded sharp cheddar cheese, 125 millilitres (1/2 cup) chopped onion and two beaten eggs in a two litre (two quart) baking dish. Bake at 180°C (350°F) until set, about 45 minutes.
  5. For a tasty surprise in meat loaf, mix 125 millilitres (1/2 cup) canned cheddar cheese dip into the meat loaf mixture. Bake as usual and drizzle with more warmed cheese dip before serving.
  6. To make creamy and rich-tasting mashed potatoes, stir in some canned cheddar cheese dip once the spuds are mashed.
  7. For richer, tastier mashed potatoes, grate a few ounces of cheddar cheese into the mash and stir in until melted.
  8. To make hamburgers with a surprise inside, form two thin patties out of the meat mixture and sandwich a chunk of cheddar cheese between them. Blue cheese and feta cheese work well, too!
  9. For super-yummy squash soups, stir in a little shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
  10. To take plain hot dogs up to the next level, stuff them with cheddar cheese and wrap them in bacon. First preheat the grill or griddle. Cut the hot dogs lengthwise through the side, almost all the way through but not quite. Stuff with thin strips of cheddar cheese then wrap a slice of bacon around each hot dog in a spiral, securing the ends with toothpicks. Grill over medium heat or fry on a hot griddle until the bacon is cooked through, the hot dogs are browned and the cheese is melted.
