This place has the best egg rolls I've eaten in Vancouver. I've been ordering take-out from here for many years, it's not so much a dine-in restaurant. We had a lovely table by the window so we had a nice view. Overall ambience is very bright and contemporary. To our benefit the restaurant was not that busy on a weeknight and we parked very close. The service was very good. We enjoyed their daily flatbread special and crab cakes to start. For our mains we went with halibut and osso bucco, both too were very good and cooked just right. We had a huge bowl of pork & lung soup, abalone, ‎squab, Gai Lan with beef and finished with steamed milk with ginger sauce. The dessert takes time and took longer as they felt they needed to redo it to get the right texture. The space between tables can be minimal. The service was excellent and friendly. I visited West with a friend that had been there a couple of times before. The outside of the restaurant was very unassuming. You would have no idea that there was a fantastic restaurant inside. Parking may be an issue as it's a busy streetfront but they did seem to have valet. We sat at the bar and had cesars until our table was ready--made fresh with muddled tomato right in front of our eyes. The food was all amazing both in appearance and taste. REALLY good.
