Sherwood Park is a growing community with a variety of fantastic restaurants and thriving businesses. These are my picks for the Top 10 places to enjoy a bite to eat in the Park.
I started Confetti Sweets from my home in 2008 and expanded to a storefront in 2014. My cookies went from farmers’ markets to receiving national recognition - the cookies went to the 2015 Oscars! Baked fresh daily, Confetti Sweets has a variety of cookies to choose from, including our best sellers - chocolate chunk, coconut and oatmeal M&M. There is even a gluten-free option - our delicious chocolate coconut cookie! All the cookies are soft, chewy and made with the highest quality ingredients. Like me, my staff are dedicated to great customer service, which is what makes us so special.
Looking for a place to go with your girlfriends for lunch, or to take your wife on a nice date? Vicky’s has a lovely atmosphere, and it feels really luxurious when you dine here. Located in the County Building, there’s even free underground parking attached to the building! This is a family-owned restaurant that has been serving the community for more than 30 years.
This Sherwood Park staple has been around for 22 years now! If you live in Sherwood Park, you already know about this delicious little pasta shop around the corner but, if not, you are in for a real treat. Homemade pasta and sauce that is always fresh made by a real family-owned and operated business - how can you go wrong?
This is a secret gem that most people don’t know about. If you’re in the mood for Thai food, this is where to go. There is a vast menu, including aromatic curries, a delicious, classic pad Thai and delectable coconut rice. The restaurant itself is modern and clean with an excellent ambience for a date night. Located in Summerwood, this restaurant is another family-owned spot that always makes you feel well taken care of. The takeout is ready incredibly fast, so if you’re coming from Edmonton, you may want to give them a pickup time.
Conveniently located right off of Baseline Road, this hip new spot offers a delicious array of Asian delights. This Southeast Asian noodle bar uses sauces made in-house and fresh, locally sourced ingredients in every dish. One of my favourites is the Peanutty Thai, which is a creamy mix of noodles, homemade peanut sauce and a protein of your choice, all topped with bean sprouts and cilantro. Warning: Be conservative when you choose your spice level. They are NOT kidding around!
These authentic Italian pizza spots have popped up all over the city and it’s no wonder why. The thin crust paired with ingredients flown in all the way from Italy make for a combination to die for. Each pizza is cooked for 90 seconds in their authentic bell oven at 900 degrees Fahrenheit! The Sherwood Park location has a huge patio that is perfect for enjoying a cocktail with friends. Among the traditional Italian pizzas to choose from, there are plenty of “New World” pizzas to choose from, as well. One of my favourites is the Spicy Thai.
If you’re looking for a gastropub in Sherwood Park, this is the one to choose. OJ’s is consistently delicious for a reasonable price. They have an extensive beer selection and the atmosphere to match. They don’t allow minors, so make sure that you go with friends or make it a date night. A couple of things to try are definitely their beer-battered fish and chips and the Kona Burger with sweet potato fries - and don’t forget the dill dip!
This spot has the best burgers in town. If you haven’t tried Fatburger yet - you’ve got to go. They don’t skimp on any aspect of what a good burger should entail. The buns are fresh and soft, the beef is cooked to perfection, and there is an almost unlimited choice to toppings you can add to your burger. I can promise that you will not leave hungry.
