At dinner, the menu features over a dozen pizzas prepared with traditional Italian flair. The Quattro Stagione is a classic “four seasons” pie topped in sections with artichoke, Italian ham, mushrooms and olives.
One of TO’s most beloved resto-bars for Southern Italian fare boasts a location in the historic Old Town district of the city. Perched just west of Church, Terroni’s Adelaide Street trattoria is housed in an old courthouse that’s been infused with luxe, modern touches. Made-in-house pasta dishes, and meat and fish secondis pervade the menu. As for the pizza, thin-crust Neapolitan is the style you’ll find at Terroni. The Margherita is one of the city’s best, but if you’re feeling adventurous, intriguing options like smoked salmon pizza will also not disappoint.
You’ll feel the warm, welcoming vibes of a true neighbourhood spot as soon as you walk through the doors of this Italian trattoria. The menu notably boasts an entire page dedicated to thin-crust Neapolitan style za. “Classiche” pies include all the faves: quattro stagioni, mushroom and prosciutto, and of course, the Margherita. But the range of pizza bianchi and otherwise intriguing combinations are certainly worth a sample. Bonus: the King Street East resto-bar is open for lunch, dinner and (!) brunch.
With locations across the city, Mercatto is an uber-charming, oh-so-chic string of trattorias that offer fine Italian cuisine in upscale-meets-casual spaces. You’ll find yourself tempted by effectively everything on the menu, from stacked charcuterie boards to mouthwatering pasta dishes. Popping in for a business lunch or a date night dinner? Don’t hesitate to split a pie of the thin-crust variety. Our pizza pick? The Agnello, which combines lamb sausage, olives, fior di latte, and San Marzano tomatoes.
Located in the southwest corner of the St. Lawrence Market, this takeout gem serves up generous pizza slices designed for enjoying on the go. The size of their slices is comparable to any of the big chains (and so is the price) but the main difference is the quality. You’ll only find fresh ingredients here, nothing canned. Whole fresh pizzas can also be ordered to your own specifications. Feel like taking a DIY approach? Pick up pizza dough and shop for farm fresh toppings among the market’s many vendors.

There are seven pizzas on the menu, and multigrain and gluten free crust options are available by request. Seafood fans can opt for the fruitti di mare pizza topped with pesto, tiger shrimp and sea scallops while Hot House’s gourmet take on the classic Hawaiian features double smoked bacon, pineapple and hot Italian peppers.
Don’t be fooled, this Jarvis Street spot offers a whole lot more than just coffee and dessert. The extensive pizza menu delivers authentic thin crust pizzas made with both bianco (white) and rosso (red) sauces. Try the pancetta topped with fior di latte, goat cheese, pancetta and cherry tomatoes or G’s specialty, which features a tomato sauce base dressed with fontina cheese, capers, artichokes and anchovies. Just make sure you leave room for a scoop of the café’s house-made gelato.
