Summerlicious is one of the year’s biggest dining events. From July 4-20, over 200 restaurants offer three-course prix fixe lunch and dinner menus. Reservations start this Thursday, June 19th.
Benihana is a special occasion kind of place, where you go for birthdays or take out-of-town guests for dinner. So take yourself out to celebrate and be a tourist in your own city at Benihana! You’ll be seated at a hibachi table (seats up to seven). From here, you can watch the chef chop and juggle your meal, teppanyaki-style. It’s dinner and a show! And a cool bonus? Benihana has its first locally brewed sake, IZUMI (spring water), exclusive to the hotel - made with fresh Ontario spring water and prepared using traditional Japanese methods and recipes.
Momofuku is the kind of restaurant that should be experienced at least once. Chef David Chang and his brand have become such a partof the restaurant landscape that you need to see what’s being done here. That, combined with the tremendous view and one of the most spacious dining rooms in the city, you’re in for a memorable meal.
This American chain restaurant falls under the “fancy” category that I told you to skip earlier. But because the menu is always the same (steak, lobster, shrimp) and the food is consistent whether you’re in Toronto or Tampa, it’s an exception to my rule. The sight (and aroma) of a USDA Prime steak sizzling on a 500° plate is worth the trip alone.
