Starting June 1st and lasting until June 7th, over 3500 bars and restaurants around the world celebrate the Negroni, all in an effort to raise money for charitable causes. From Latvia to Baltimore, Little Rock to Melbourne, Kelowna to Sweden, people will be raising their rock glasses during Negroni Week.
The TTS’ chosen charity is the Canadian Red Cross (Nepal Relief Fund). It has been four weeks since the devastating earthquake of 7.9 magnitude, and there is still so much work to be done. Medical supplies and equipment and other humanitarian relief activities are still needed.
Huntington disease (HD) is a fatal hereditary brain disorder with devastating effects on both the mind and body. The Huntington Society of Canada describes it as “like having the symptoms of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Schizophrenia all in one disease.” Improving the quality of life for Canadians impacted by Huntington disease (HD) is the mission of this not-for-profit organization. They support students “to develop innovative solutions to address hunger, food insecurity and sustainability on their campuses and with communities.” Students have the power to change the world and this organization is further proof of that.
Joe Badali’s has chosen to donate a portion of their proceeds for each drink sold (so drink up!) to Nellie’s Women’s Shelter. Nellie's operate programs and services for women and children “who have and are experiencing oppressions such as violence, poverty and homelessness.” Nellie’s is committed to achieve social justice for all women and children.
