A professional piercer at 18, Dominic Grenier was unsatisfied with the low standards of quality and safety of the work he saw in the industry. He decided he wanted to be his own boss and open a studio where the standards would be impeccable.
In 2007, he launched Tatouage Royal, a tattoo and piercing studio with a mission: offer the highest quality piercing and tattoos with the safest procedures in existence. When things took off, he moved his studio to its current location on St. Denis Street with four times the space. It was then, in early 2013, that he made a crucial decision: cut out piercing and focus exclusively on tattooing. Dominic wanted to make Tatouage Royal the go-to place for beautiful professional tattoos in Montreal.
