Kooka opened its doors on Fleury Street in 2013. The boutique entices passersby with storefront mannequins dressed in original pieces selected with care by owner Andrew Frazao. In addition to the Fleury-Street location, there are two other Kooka boutiques located on Saint Laurent Boulevard and Mount Royal Avenue.
The young 29-year-old has always loved fashion, which is what led him to embark on the adventure of starting his own business. He began modestly by importing clothes and selling them at kiosks in the Old Port. His hard work enabled him to open the three boutiques he owns today.
Andrew's boutiques offer California-style women's clothing with prints, fun slogans, and light colours. There's also a selection of cocktail dresses and both chic and casual evening dresses, which represent 50 per cent of the collection and give a certain character to the boutique. Visitors will also find short tops, sequined shorts, coats, scarves, shoes, cute moccasins, sandals in punchy colours, boots, huge necklaces, pendants, and handbags.
