Joey Reid is in the baby-making business. As the owner of B-Fit Studio, he is a certified fertility fitness trainer. A highly individualized program of exercises and nutritional changes, the goal of fertility fitness is to help couples conceive by optimizing hormones, addressing weight issues and maximizing blood flow to the appropriate areas.
While Joey also specializes in pre and postnatal fitness for women, he says that fertility fitness is not just for the girls. “People often think that once you’ve ruled out a low sperm count, it’s the woman. That’s just not true,” he says. Things like weight, nutrition, sleep patterns, stress levels and general happiness can all affect fertility in both men and women.
