Olympic Framing showcases the perfect merging of passion with reality. “No one wants to work,” jokes Peter Chilakos, co-owner of Olympic Framing. “You just have to find something you like to do.” Each customer can see the enjoyment Peter and co-owner Pantelis finds in their work. These partners and brothers-in-law opened up shop in 1988, and have only seen success since.
Pantelis learned the trade of professional framing while working for a larger company over 30 years ago. After perfecting his craft, Pantelis asked Peter if he wanted to build their own business from the ground up. “While we were looking for a space to set up, we were also looking for potential clients,” Peter says. “We asked museums and galleries if they would be interested in looking at our stuff if we could open.” This driven attitude brought natural success to Olympic Framing.
Peter’s background is in economics, but his heart has always belonged to art. “My first love is art,” Peter says. His love of art can flourish in his business of professional framing: “The fact is, I look around, and I am surrounded by art.”
