“When I was little, my dad trained dogs for the Canadian Armed Forces, so I was almost always surrounded by canine friends. We lived far away from big cities, so I would spend a lot of time with them. They really can be the best friends,” explains Gaby Fransire of her great affinity towards dogs.
Nowadays, Gaby makes a living out of her passion for our canine cohorts with Dogue Shop, the business she founded in 1999 which offers specialized dog training services. “I focus mostly on behavioural problems,” notes Gaby. “We give them socialization classes to help them adapt to life in society. My techniques are based on cognitive play, which helps modify behaviour. These classes are adapted to the type of dog: with puppies, for example, we will work in groups to help them get used to the presence of other dogs.”
Dogue Shop stocks a selection of accessories that help to optimize training: harnesses, specialized collars and leashes, and others.
