Coralie and Mickael Rossi met while working at a Starbucks in France. The couple quickly began dreaming of the day when they could own their own cafe. Once back in Quebec, they perfected their baristas skills working in various coffee shops. "The Montreal cafe vibe really made us want to start our own," says Mickael.
Coralie and Mickael finally took advantage of their many years of experience in the coffee industry and their training in law and management. They opened Le Candide Cafe in May, 2015. The goal of the owners was to focus on customer service and quality.
"Candide comes from Voltaire's work. It was a parallel; French literature already spoke to us. In the book, the hero travels the world to find happiness until he realizes that happiness is not found, but is created," explains Mickael.
