Started in the Phoenixville area, McGee Electric put their first 'truck' on the road, an old VW Beetle with the backseat removed, in 1976 by Joseph L. McGee II. Over the years, Joe McGee's business grew, as did his family. Needing more space for both brought them to the Pottstown area.
