this place is so crowded and the smaller birds are all fucking mushed up together in a cage with no air room to breathe - p.s. the short lady there is absolutely terrible, watched me and my son like a fucking hawk, like let us see on our own for christ's sake.
We bought a budgie today which definitely was not hand reared. Nor did we leave after it being given to us acclimated to sit on our finger or hand.
The higher price was supposed to be because of theses factors.
I think that you are better off buying from a $25-$35 bird store.
Taking the budgie from the box it actually attacked us got away & as I write this is hiding who knows where, hopefully we can find it ..alive.
I would not recommend this place to anyone & my daughter is heartbroken.
Helpful staff who don’t oversell accessories, got very good-tempered hamsters for the kids. Nice selection of bettas. Store is obviously smaller than retail chain, but tidy and not smelly despite the closely racked cages.
The owner, an old short man, doesn't seem to have real good customer service. He looks so upset that I don't know how that business has survived for several years. Maybe cause there are no competitors around.
This pet store is not knowledgeable about their specialty item: Small pets. In the store, male and female rats of 8-12 weeks are housed together... This means that if you buy a female rat from this store, it will probably be pregnant. Males must be separated from females at 5 weeks of age.
