Marc Rozender has been a foodie since his teens. When he returned to Canada after working in airline marketing in Europe for years, he would often sit at his apartment window above Roncesvalles Avenue, watching the crowds enjoying all the specialty stores. It wasn’t long before he was wondering where on earth the cheese shop was. So Marc hit the streets and did his own market research, asking people in the neighbourhood if they’d like a local source for the best Brie, Halloumi, Gruyere and Riopelle. His feedback was a resounding “yes,” and in 2006, Marc opened Thin Blue Line Cheese, Ronsecavalles’ first rate cheese shop.
Knowledgable and welcoming, the proprietors of Thin Blue Line Cheese on Roncy make gourmet cheese shopping an easy pleasure. Go, learn, shop, partake and enjoy incomparable quality and freshness.
For fresh artisan cheeses look no further than Thin Blue Line Cheese. Thin Blue Line puts an emphasis on Canadian cheese in its intimate shop. In the counter fridge you’ll find Quebec’s Sauvagine, a soft butter cheese with a hint of earthy mushrooms, and Ontario’s Fifth Town, known for their truffle honey goat chevre. Favourites from the rest of the cheese world are also represented, including Stilton, Beemster and Applewood cheddar. This small and homey shop is owner operated and well stocked with a selection of oil and other sundries.
Thin Blue Lines is the purveyor of Ontario and Quebec cheeses in the Roncesvalles neighbourhood. The shop offers cheese to take home, as well as a sampling of products on the charcuterie boards. This shop is open six days a week.
