Bad Business Practice.
I took two sport coats to this Stitch-It location, one for shortening the sleeves one inch, and the other to have some leather buttons sewn on. The total charge was $94 and some odd cents. They were taken to the shop on a Wednesday; I was supposed to pick them up on a Monday. About an hour before I was supposed to pick them up, I received a call from Stitch-It saying I had been undercharged for shortening the jacket sleeves; instead of it being $59, it was supposed to be $89. They asked me what I wanted to do. I said that I would take the jacket that needed the sleeves shortened elsewhere--that we had agreed upon a price, but now they wanted to increase the agreed-upon price by 50 percent. This is a bad way to do business. If a mistake was made, they shouldn't have waited until the last minute to tell me--nor should they have upped the price by 50 percent. I won't ever take anything else to them for alterations. Oh--they don't like to give you receipts for your payment, either!
