I used to here once a month years ago, but the place has slid in recent years so I rarely go anymore. I think maybe there is a new manager, new staff, not sure what the deal is. Anyway, the prices of the food/drink have gone up and the quality of service has gone down. I think maybe they realized the place was so busy they decided to jack up the prices and they don't care any more if the service sucks. So I stopped going so often.
I went there with a bunch of friends at about 4 am, after a night of clubbing. We all LOVED this place. The atmosphere is amazing, our food was excellent, and our service was perfect!
When 7 West first opened my then-roommate and I would often go there for lunch or a late dinner. We always enjoyed the food and friendly service. When we went back recently we found everything was the same except some newer items on the menu. The sandwiches are a particularly good deal - a nice large sandwich and a sizeable side salad. I visit every chance I get when I'm hungry and in the neighbourhood.

The atmosphere was grungy, but the lighting was okay. We arrived at 6:45pm waited at the door for about 5 minutes until we were served, which should have been an indication of leaving - but my friend and I were famished. I ordered a cranberry juice, hot bread for appetizer and lasagna for main course. My friend ordered a chili and sandwich. After 25 minutes of ordering, we finally got our appetizers - only to receive our main course 15 minutes later. Not only did our appetizers come late, the waitress had forgotton my drink and brought two glasses of water instead. I had to ask for the cranberry juice twice afterwards and finally received it when my appetizer came. I was not impressed. I had a horrible experience at the restaurant. The lasagna sauce was runny and bland. It wasn't much better than frozen (if it was fresh, that is). My friend's chili was over-spiced, and her Prego sandwhich tasted okay, but a bit soggy.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
I have been to this place a few times over the years and have been happy with the meal, service has always been iffy. My meal was pretty good and it was fast.

My friend's and I love this place. The atmosphere is cozy and great. 7 West is opening 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so it's perfect for late night munchies. It's also a good place for a night out with the girls or a quiet first date.
