Very dirty washrooms left uncleaned for hours on two consecutive visits is not an accident. It reflects poor hygiene overall.
Was not disappointed when my family visited Riz a few weeks ago. They have a great diverse menu, with an all you can taste option. Offers you an all you can eat, in small portions, so you can taste all of their delicious food. Food is flavorful and fresh, service is amazing and the staff is friendly and helpful with choosing items on their menu!
this place is the only place I trust as a celiac,,,, The service, food are perfect..... Terry and staff always have been great with us and clientele.. I have aseen so many people return that yes it happends one client isnt happy but they try the very best,,, i love the place and i will recommand it always !!!!! gluten free Marie!!!!!
This is the second time we have been at Riz in a matter of weeks. Being recently diagnosed Celeac it was a real pleasure to have Terry explain to us exactly how they ensure the Gluten Free menu remains Gluten Free, and to be able to eat in a restaurant without worry. The GF choices are extensive, the whole family enjoyed the experience. One of my concerns when I found out I was Celeac was that I would never have Asian food again - no problem now that I have found Riz. Keep up the good work Terry. .
We are regular customers at Riz. We have eaten there many times and I am convinced that it is among the best Thai restaurants in the city. The food is always fresh and very tasty. The service is generally very good- But it is busy and that can slow things down on occassion. They give good value for the money- I recommend it highly.
We were greeted by the owner Terry. She explained how careful they are to not cross contaminate food and how the whole menu was tested before being put up. Food was hot, tasty and with good sized portions. There were a large number of choices for a gluten free menu. Service was excellent but that may be a factor of it being a Wednesday night and not too busy. We loved it and will return. They also do take out so thats an option also. We highly recommend it!
We went to Riz as an alternative to other Thai restaurants we usually go to. We made reservations for 7:30 pm on a Saturday. Parking delayed us by less than 5 minutes and I had called to let the lady on the phone know that we would be right there. When we got to Riz, it was obvious that our table had been given away. They said it would be a few minutes...which turned into 25 minutes. Then when another table had cleared, the lady at the front was extremely abrupt and told us to be seated. I asked her why such a long wait as I expected this to be acknowledged on their end. I was shocked at her behaviour, I recognized her from Lemongrass which is owned by the same owner but I did not realize she was the owner...as her behaviour was way worse than "unprofessional". She told me "This is how it is on a Saturday, if you don''t like it maybe you should not come here on the weekend." Insulted, I told her that was unacceptable because we made the reservation. She interrupted to me and said flatly: "You have a choice you can either take the table or not"! She basically was telling me to take it or leave and that she did not care if we left. At that point I asked to speak to her boss when she tapped me on the arm and smugly said "I am the owner" before walking off into the kitchen. Me and my party got up and left. The owner of Riz and LemonGrass is notorious for being extremely rude not only to customers when she tested, but also to her wait staff, as I had noticed this when I was at Lemon Grass in the past. Her arrogant attitude is basically one that does not value repeat business and she believes that the restaurant is so busy that they really don''t need to be nice and/or professional to customers. That is an unacceptable attitude. As popular as the place is I will never go to Riz or Lemon Grass gain because of the horrible attitude and service that we received! This is such a cute little place where you can have an excellent food and ambiance. The service is fast and helpfull. The owner is must of the time there. We been there quite few times, even with friewn visiting from Germany and they loved the food. Definitely is a place that we always like to go, the only thing they dont open late nigth on weekends.
