Lost My Blue Blazer - Tried to Substitute
My wife and I had used this cleaners for years, chiefly because it was right outside our condo entrance. They were always more expensive than other cleaners. My wife took my blue blazer in for cleaning--I had shipped it from Afghanistan--and they did not return it with the other drycleaning, but substituted a black suit coat. When I returned from Afghanistan and was looking for it, I could not find it. Instead, I found a black suit coat that was NOT mine. We returned it and asked about my blue blazer. The lady owner said that was my coat. I said that no, it was not--my blazer was blue, not black, and had embossed metal buttons, and not plain plastic buttons. I know what is in my own wardrobe--but this woman was adamant that the black suit coat was mine. It was a Calvin Klein coat, and I don't own a stitch made by Calvin Klein. Instead of doing the right thing and offering us some kind of compensation, she clung to her story that they could not have made a mistake. Well, they did, and because of their failure to correct their mistake, we are using another cleaners--one farther away but one that takes pride in taking responsibility. This dry cleaners has a C rating from the BBB and it's easy to see why. They are so incredibly tight with money that customer service--and satisfaction--is something totally beyond them. The woman owner talked to my wife and I like we were idiots. They made a mistake--about a $250 mistake--and simply tried to pull the wool over our eyes. Legitimate businesses respond to valid customer complaints and make good on their mistakes. By this definition I do not consider Dry Cleaners Plus to be a legitimate business.
