Maybe you didn’t know that you could get hold of an air tight silicon lid for your pots and glasses in exquisite floral designs, Le Creuset in just about any colour under the sun or a colourful watermelon knife perfect for a picnic, but you can. Nella Cucina has served Toronto foodies, both professional and amateur, since 1952 with the best quality of kitchen equipment staples alongside funky, fun and practical items from around the globe. The downtown location on Bathurst opened in 2004. “We keep in touch with what’s going in the kitchen world by attending all the big shows,” says manager Brae Mason. “We also keep our ear to the ground about what customers want. They give ussome great tip offs on interesting new products.”

Supplying restaurants and home chefs with many products that cross over into both spaces, Nella Cucina also runs popular cooking classes and hires out its 120-person capacity kitchen for a range of events.
