Michael Prue has a long and distinguished career standing up for the people of our community. On September 20, 2001 Michael was first elected to the Ontario Legislature as the MPP for Beaches-York, winning a by-election to replace longtime MPP Frances Lankin. Michael was first elected as an East York councillor in 1988. He went on to serve as East York's mayor from 1993 to 1997 until East York's forced amalgamation into the megacity.
