Come savor a delicious meal at Java House. Their bar is the utmost spot for after dinner drinks. Come recline on their terrace under the sun. They are open after-hours all week and are readily accessible by bicycle. The neighboring location is notable for its stores and parks.
Tasty food for cheap--shame about the crappy location
The food here is actually pretty good--it's almost seems a sin to get that kind of food for such a cheap price (a plate of Thai noodles with stirfry (meat and veggies) for $4.95? Wow...)
However, once you actually look around the restaurant and the kitchen, you will see why. Dirty and rundown surroundings with kitchen habits that don't seem sanitary. Also, my dining companion found a public hair in his French toast (what is it with me and pubic hair in food? I feel like I have a curse on me or something... :-P) Not couth.
Like I said, the food tasted great and it was dirt cheap (yes, "dirt" was a pun). Too bad the place is too disgusting to take advantage of it.
Java House’s patio is good for two things: sangria and pints! The weekly drink deals can be enjoyed on the sidewalk patio that has a strong local vibe. The patio is covered and open until midnight seven days a week.
