Marie Petigny founded Braids, Brains & Beauty in 2015 because of the lack of education for textured hair clients in ordinary hair schools in Canada. Neither private or public schools offer black hair education and she decided to create her own program to advocate for all the hairstylists that were passionate about braiding, weaving and locking hair.
