The Mermaid never fails to impress. It is a place where memories become tradition. The food is fabulous, timeless and does not get caught up on trends. Amazing food, the best service and a place where they will remember your name. Highly recommended!!

Food was awesome, the service was a little slow, it was also a busy nigth and the servers did the best they could. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

(Approx date) Went there during the Christmas...

(Approx date) Went there during the Christmas party rush for an anniversery. We were tucked into a cramped corner with other customers, service was exceptionally slow and the food was not worth while waiting for. Saw the server three time, to order, drop the food and the leave the bill. I spoke to the neighbouring table and they were having a similar experience, unfortunately. This lack of overall quality seemed to be because of a large group hosted by an apparent "very regular" customer. We had been past customers and it had been pleasant but we have not been back since. It would appear that unless you are a notable you don't get the service during during busy times.
