Food is fantastic !!
The Blue Mermaid has been around since anyone can remember. A traditional steakhouse with heavy oak interior and waiters in tuxes. The food is signature. The steak is perfect and so is the seafood from oysters to fish. The service is top-notch. They can sense your pace and keep you exactly at it. The personal care and attention is amazing. The highlight is a toss-up between the freshly made seizer salad dressing made right next to you to be tossed freshly, and the flambé for desert. You know what, just take both.
The service here blew us all away. If that was all there was, it would have the whole table coming back for more. Then the food came out and we were even more impressed. If you call ahead of time and pre-order the steak tar-tar (raw steak!) it is a treat. The oysters are also to die for, as is the lobster, steak, and fish. Downstairs there is also a bar/lounge area where a pianist plays on weekends. The decorations are a little bit dated. Definitely coming again! Unfortunately, the cost makes it that we can only come on extremely special occasions - but that just makes it all the better.
Our first time at this place and I must say it was quite an experience. Our waiter was very attentive and entertaining. The food was great and will be back
We enjoy this restaurant, especially to celebrate special occasions. The food is exceptional. Service is welcoming and top-notch. We look forward to returning again and again.
