Our facility is the only one of its' kind in the central/downtown Ottawa area. With over 1000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor play space your dogs will love visiting Furry Friends Spa & Daycare's new doggy daycare. Inside the clean, climate controlled daycare centre there are 3 separate areas designed for different personalities and style of play: small dogs (and puppies), large dogs and quiet/old dogs. Small dogs can run and play without fear, surrounded by friends of a similar size. The large dogs can wrestle and chase and don't have to worry about little dogs underfoot. While the quieter / older dogs can socialize in a calmer, peaceful environment. The cat boarding facility is located upstairs away from the daily hustle and bustle and away from all the dogs. No dogs are permitted upstairs to maintain a quiet, stress free environment with the cats under our care. Inside the clean, climate controlled cattery cats relax in the comfort of their private suites. Most are multi level to allow freedom of movement and to separate the sleep area from their bathroom compartment. Some of the suites are single level to better accommodate cats that cannot jump due to age, ailment or injury. The private suites overlook the large play area with a custom, locally made, floor to ceiling cat tree of fun. Each suite is cleaned daily while your cat is permitted to freely explore the large playroom.more...See more text
I took my Yorkie, who is tiny but well-behaved, to Dawn of a New Day spa on the recommendation of a friend who has a large dog. The service was good, and the people were friendly, but I was shocked to discover that the cost for grooming my dog (nothing fancy, just shampoo & puppy-cut) cost me $70.00 - the same rate charged to my friend whose dog is a large Woodle!
I would love to go back to Dawn of a New Day, but I simply cannot afford them - especially as I have now discovered, after doing a little research, that most other groomers charge around $40.00 for the same services for such a small dog.
