Excellent repas avec un service impeccable
The service was knowledgeable and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Unfortunately the main entrees did not meet expectations (or the $$$). We were disapointed with the flavours and overall presentation of the dishes. There are too many other haute cuisine restaurants to try in Ottawa before returning to this one.
Food is excellent! 2nd or 3rd best in town. The service is very knowlegable and friendly. The atmosphere is great with the raw stone walls and old wood beams. Everything was great! Try the Creme Brule!
We had our wedding here. Genevieve and Jessica were amazing! The food was stellar as was the service. I go back frequently. They made our wedding a memorable event.
The best restaurant in the city. Pietre is the finest Somalier the city has and the Chef is young, imaginative and dedicated. Ther perfect spot for a romantic dinner, a formal business dinner, or a large banquet. Hands Down!
Great atmosphere along with great food and service makes this place a winner. All our entrees were fantastic. Servers knew everything about the menu. Highly recommended.

Formerly a tavern named McArthur’s British Hotel, this restaurant’s stone walls could certainly spin some intriguing tales. In summertime, chat outside on the patio overlooking the heritage cobblestone courtyard which inspired this venue’s name. Choose an early meeting or linger later so as to absorb the courtyard’s relaxing ambiance. Come for European-styled yet locally inspired fare such as fish and chips, where the featured batter ingredient is Ottawa’s very own Kichesippi craft beer.
View this Smart ListThe Courtyard is housed in an 1827 limestone building, which began life as a tavern but once billeted the garrison protecting Governor General Monck. It provides the perfect backdrop for this courtyard patio out back. Surrounded by mature trees, classic Ottawa lampposts and quaint archways, you can savour the farm-to-table cuisine of Cordon Bleu-trained chef Ian Reed. At lunch, perhaps you’ll opt for the club sandwich of pulled chicken on artisan panini. At dinner, try swoon-worthy pan-seared trout. Several restaurant patios abut the Courtyard’s, but this one, a member of Savour Ottawa, serves our favourite food.

Stop by this stone heritage building during the summer for their outdoor patio, live classical music and their courtyard eggs benny, which uses eggs from grain-fed, locally raised, roam-free chicken. Brunch is served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every weekend.
