Alessandra and her family came to Canada in 2002 from her former homeland of Brazil. When she arrived she took great pleasure in making cakes for her family and friends with flavours and consistencies reminiscent of her Brazilian heritage. It wasn't long before these unique and flavourful creations became a talking point and she found herself constantly busy and being called upon to make her famous cakes time and time again. Keeping up with the many requests became challenging, so changing her career and starting up her own business seemed to be a natural next step.
