Do not go to the doctor. When she came to Orangeville there was a need to have a family physician and she was the only one available. Find someone else as she only cares about the practice not the patients.
Too hard to get an appointment even when you are an accepted patient of Dr. Awad. This "BUSINESS" doesn't seem to care about patient welfare, only turnover. way to busy with the walk in clinic to take care of actual patients/clients.....I found another doctor.
Would be an amazing clinic/Dr office/ pharmacy if it weren’t for the power tripping rude receptionist. I’ve been coming for years and she never fails to be rude. Think I’ll start looking for a change. Too bad a receptionist can do this to what should be a Care facility.
I switched over my files from another doctor. My specialist appointments were mixed up twice not sure if it’s the doctors fault or the secretary. They also mailed to me someone else’s personal specialist appt by mistake and the secretary didn’t make a big deal if it. Very unprofessional. For a doctor who is new and current she still writes everything in loose pieces of paper instead of a computer which is concerning. Don’t feel like I can trust my health in the hands of this doctor.
Dr Katie Awad is our family doctor, she is very friendly and nice to my kids.,
I really like Dr. Awad, she is a fantastic physician. Very difficult to get an appointment sooner than 3 weeks though. I find just going in as a walk in is better, you get seen within 30 minutes. The receptionist really should find a new job as customer service/client facing is not one of her strengths!
Dr. Awad is very friendly. Her staff is awsome understanding. You are the best. DR. AWAD. Your patient wendy Sullivan
Dr. Awad is a great doctor, she has been a huge help to my entire household and is great with my kids. Frount desk staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them
The receptionist at the front is very rude she should not be in this industry!! I brought my newborn in for her check up and was told the doctor would not see her till we set up a meet and greet. I tried to make the appt and was told the doctor would be on holidays both times we needed to come in and the earliest appt would be after Christmas. Not a good impression she’s had to see the nurse instead, even though the doctor has been there what is a meet and greet for a new born.. rediculous!!!!!!
Dr Awad is a very caring and considerate doctor. I would recommend her to my family and friends.
I have used Dr. Awad's office as a walk-in-clinic. I have found her to be very professional and understanding. As my illness is chronic she has made me feel very comfortable about coming back if I needed further care. it has been my experience that most Doctor's appointments come with a wait time now. Too many people for the number of Doctors we have.
Dr. Awad was our son's dr after he was born and it was terrible. She was very close minded and used scare tactics. The wait times are very long (we would schedule and appt and then have to wait a min. of an hour each time). They never had the vaccines on site even though that was what our appt was for, we always had to come back the next day. The front desk is VERY rude, one time avoiding my calls trying to find out the results of my baby's head scan, picked up when I called from a different #.
My infant son was ill and the earliest appointment I could get to see Dr. Awad was almost 4 weeks from now. By then, he will most likely not need to see a doctor. She has her clients and walk-in too so I think they bit off more than they can chew
Really great table manners. Always seem within 20 minutes even as a walk in.
Dr Awad is self absorbed and clueless about what she's doing. Stay away.
No real issues with Dr. Awad, but the service at this office is terrible. Expect to call 15 times (literally) before someone answers, during open office hours. If you're lucky, you won't be put on hold and left there enough until you finally hang up. If they accepted too many patients, reception should be increased to accommodate.
Receptionists both are rude, you make an appointment and still have to take a number. Wait times extremely long. You make an appt for a couple things and dr awad says thank you bye after addressing one. She called me by the wrong name and wouldn't let me correct her. And the girl pharmacist, when i was picking up my pills, the first thing she said was, "what are these for?" And I felt so embarrassed... she should already know... I dread coming in here, but only family dr I can get for now...
I really enjoy Dr. Awad, i think shes fantastic and really cares for her patients. But it is extremely hard to get an appointment there. I think she has to many patients on her own. It's also in the worst locations. Along with her one receptionist (larger lady) shes absolutely RUDE.
Excellent, caring and efficient care. Dr. Awad's and Sandra, her Nurse Practitioner's bedside manner is professional and her treatments of any ailments that come up are effective. She has referred me to very able specialists as well. Visits are very easy to book. Reception is stellar in their care as well. I feel very fortunate to be under Dr. Awad's care. I hope she stays in Orangeville until she retires. Our community lucked out when she decided to open her practice here.
Absolutely awful. The wait times are awful and the doctor seems to have absolutely no idea what she's doing. The whole staff there seems a little clueless and inept.
