Jim Landon started his own company, Jim's Locksmithing, in 1988. He expanded its mobile operation to include a well-known shop/retail area in January of 1993. Jim's Locksmithing located at 315 Algonquin Avenue in North Bay was once the home of "General Repair & Key Shop", also known as "Chee Chaw's", operated by Mr. Ernest Ricciuto. We offer 24 hr emergency service. We handle practically everything to do with locks, including repairing and re-keying. We have Medeco, Abloy and other medium and high security locks. We carry a full line of architectural hardware. We sell and service security safes, both fire and burglary. We change safe combinations as well as open locked safes and repair the combination locks on them. We carry the Hunter line of automatic doors, both swingers and sliders but also service all other manufactures. We service Mattawa or Sturgeon Falls areas as least once a week. We have done service work as far South as Huntsville and as far North as Cochrane. more... See more text

    Thanks to everyone who helped me out the other day at Jim’s Locksmithing. I was in a really bad predicament and everyone was wonderful. Amber helped me out with all the arrangements, Steve was great at the counter, and Todd was very efficient at the house. I will be definitely recommend them to anyone who needs help!

    Called to have electronic door lock repaired. Lock was repaired. A few days later, lock isnt working properly again. Later repair done again. Again lock wouldnt work properly. Why cant these people fix something right the first time? Three visits to finally fix a lock that should have been fixed the first time.

    Terrible service the lady who answers the phone is increadably rude and couldent wait too get me off the line , almost felt like I was "bothering her" wont be calling there again.

    Terrible service.

    Had an appointment at 830am for lock install. No show. I call and they are condescending and say someone will be there by 11. A guy shows up and says the work will be done...he goes to the car to get the locks...30 minutes later the guy has disappeared. I call and they tell me someone else will come sometime in the afternoon. I call at 230...still don't know when someone will be there but promise by 430. 430 comes and goes with no one. Absolutely terrible service and condescending treatment.
