Mandarin Restaurant

Rude rude rude ...kept staring at us the whole time and pressured us to leave after 2 hrs from coming. Not coming again...worst staff ever

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MEDIOCRE FOOD. Front take-out desk rude and not helpful when food took DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF TIME it should have! 50 MINUTES! Bland, under cooked food. Unsatisfied, lost customer. Never going there again.

The managing part...

The managing partner went around handing out business cards to all the customers. He hovered over the staff and watched everyone creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere, reprimanding staff in front of customers & never smiled. It was an unpleasant experience. Our waitress was pushy & would not take no to our refusal of wine or tea. She also did not smile and was also hovering over the other staff correcting the other servers in front of the customers. We usually love this location.

Mandarin Review

Mandarin is a really excellent place to eat a buffet. They are really kind to you and free refills (water, coke). They give you these mint candy after your visit for free. If you tell them that it is your birthday, they give you a cake piece, sing the happy birthday song and a free picture. Also, they have decorations for you to enjoy and they keep the place very neat. I like how they make food and name the food it’s specific name. The names also say if it is sugar-free, and if it is spicy. They have specific rooms that they assign you to eat and the sign tells you what room it is (Room A, Room b .etc.). The employes are really nice and when you come in, they make you feel welcomed (unless if the lineup is really long and people have reservations). After you are done with your food, you can just leave your plate on your table. You can get a new plate with food on it so you do not have to use the same plate over and over again. In conclusion, you should really go to Mandarin. It is a really excellent buffet to go to. It has crab legs right now and they are really expensive to buy at a store. They have a variety of foods and make their own combinations of foods which is really good. Pros: -Great Service -Free Refills (for certain drinks) -Nice employees -Free mints at the end -Have decorations Cons: -Takes not too long to refill food -Need to make reservations -2 hour limit -Not too many tables

The Best Mandarin Ever

For those of you who don’t know what is the Mandarin. So, the Mandarin is a restaurant. It is an open buffet and you can eat as much as you want there. You can stay there till 4:30pm. The restaurant's decoration is great. First, it is light, nice, and amazing. The decorations expresses the restaurant. Also, the decorations are so cool that you have to keep looking at it because it is so amazing. But, the colours aren’t that good. Over all, the decoration are awesome. The food is like the best... It’s quality is pretty good. You can put as much as you want because it is an open buffet. the appearance is delicious. It tastes so good that you feel like sucking your fingers. Best of all you can eat anything you want, feel free. The food always makes me full. Also, the best part is that there is desserts such as ice cream, cake, flan, and cream. There is also vegetables and fruits. The salad isn’t that tasty but it is okay ( I guess ). The staff are so nice. They are also so helpful, but sometimes they take lots of time to come to you and take empty dishes or fill your cup. But everything else is awesome. At the end, when you are ready to go, they give you a small thing that helps you for the future. And the cost is not that much. It is about $25. There are lots of good things about mandarin, such as the the food looks amazing.The food is cooked perfectly.The service is great. But there is also some cons such as on weekends the store is full so the service isn’t that good. The restaurant is so cool. I recommend everyone going there because it a really good restaurant. the restaurants food is awesome. The decoration is nice and cool. The staff performance and the price is good. The place is the best. Wouldn’t you want to go there?

Not good, not cheap.

"Traditional" buffet atmosphere, so can't complain there. However for the money you pay you get a very low grade, "bulk" quality food - no authentic taste, fairly limited choice. You are better off going to a more traditional North-American/Chinese restaurants.

I pick certain days to go to this place (usually on weekdays rather than weekends) cause' the last 2 times we went here, the place was so packed that we had to wait for awhile in order to get a seat. Cause' when it's a full-house, service can be quite disappointing. Food is albeit better than other all-you-can places I know of here in Mississauga. But do let me know if you know any other places better buffet places, I would appreciate. =)

What's so great about it?

I've been here a bit because of friends' celebrations but all were rather disappoiting. Oriental? Sure it has the wontons and the sushi. Overall it is just another one of those buffets that offer so-so 'Chinese' food. Mandarin is just another one of those Chinese restaurants where you after you eat you feel so full you're sick, then an hour later you're starving. I've been to waaaay better. Most dishes were not prepared all that well. The sushi was disappointing and so were the salads and meat dishes. The experience was an overall disappointment after being to better buffets such as IMPERIAL BUFFET! And I was just not all that satisfied or impressed with the meal. All I have to say is that after all the buzz about Mandarin and then the actual restaurant experience is that it is overrated. I'm left to ask: 'What's so great about it?'
